We Have Sunday School

For Everyone

Tiny Tots for Jesus - Children will be hearing Bible stories of God's children being thankful.  Noah thanked God; Miriam sang a song of thanks.  Children will recognize the need to say, "Thank you," and will give thanks for the coming Messiah as we begin to celebrate Advent.  Bible verse:  "It is good to give thanks to the Lord...."    (Psalm 92:1)

Live B.i.G. - Hear, See and Live Your Belief in God.  "...believe in God, believe also in me."  (John 14:1)  Children ages preschool to grade five will come to know God through Jesus in these Sunday school classes.  The lessons will help them live out their belief in God in their everyday lives.  Live B.i.G. will excite and enrich your children's spiritual lives by bringing their everyday real world experience into Sunday school.  This will be an hour of faith-filled, high-energy excitement for your children!  Join us at 10:45 in Studio 8.2.

C.O.F.F.E.E. Club - The Tanner Williams UMC youth Sunday school is a captivating study designed to engage youth in the study of the Bible and its applications to their daily lives in today's society. This curriculum addresses the needs, questions and concerns facing today's youth in a world of contradiction and uncertainty.

Life Search - This class is an informal study group that examines important issues of our day from a Christian perspective, and is specifically intended for those who are seeking ways to relate their faith to real life. In November, we'll conclude our study of Christmas from the Back Side and turn to Adam Hamilton's Enough: Discovering Joy Through Simplicity and Generosity.  Pastor Hamilton will lead us to examine our own values and behavior toward spending, wealth, discipline, giving, and life purpose.

The Seekers - Although this class is made up predominantly of upper middle-agers, we welcome all adults.  Our November unit of study is "The New Covenant Community," in which we are reminded of our identity as God's chosen people.  In December, we begin a new study, "Christ, the Fulfillment," in which Bible lessons examine Old Testament prophecies that were fulfilled in Jesus and events and persons' reactions that point to Jesus as the Christ.

Young-in-Heart - In November, we'll complete a course entitled "Covenant Communities," in which we are challenged to live faithfully with hope toward the future God has promised us.  In December, we begin a study called "Christ, the Fulfillment."  Writers Simon Iredale and Tim Bryan will guide us through Matthew's Gospel and its record of the fulfillment of God's promise to send the Messiah.
